So, you got a big conflict of interest, because there are lots of people who are elected and does not work for their electors (that is a cover really) but really are put in place to implement policies discussed behind closed door. Sometimes the Mainstream Media journalists are invited if they will twist the information according to their will, or they are not permitted any access.
These affect all sphere of human activities, and their decisions affect everyone in their daily life, that is why it does not matter if you vote or not for elections in corrupted (friendly) countries. Those who are untouchable are unaccountable to the public, they always plan the future long in advance, and they are wealthy families.
